My paddy fields are showing signs of rice blast. The leaves have diamond-shaped lesions with gray centers. What are the best preventive measures I can take? I have tried some fungicides but the problem persists.
Rice blast is caused by a fungus. Here are some preventive measures: 1) Use resistant varieties, 2) Apply balanced fertilization, 3) Maintain proper water management, 4) Apply fungicide at early stage.
I had the same problem last year. Using Tricyclazole fungicide worked well for me.
Make sure to remove and destroy infected plant debris to prevent spread.
